Space Tourism: Three Dominant Players And What Their Plans Are
While several op-ed pieces derided billionaires’ one-upmanship in the race to space as vain and wasteful —there are many who see them as pioneers making an investment into the future of humanity. Space Tourism, currently in a nascent stage with just three private companies —Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic and SpaceX— in the fray, is about humans traveling to space for recreational activities. The month of July will see at least two billionaires —Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson— ride their rockets into space and into history books in a bid to signal, to those who can afford it, that their companies might soon be hauling tourists to space and back.
